KCMA Environmental Stewardship Program [ESP]
What is the KCMA Environmental Stewardship Program?
The Environmental Stewardship Program [ESP] is a voluntary certification program created to encourage cabinet manufacturers to practice both policy and procedures that benefit and sustain the environment. Administers by the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KMCA), the Environmental Stewardship Program recognizes environmentally mindful cabinet manufacturers. ESP encourages manufacturers to continually minimize their environmental impact by rewarding companies for that pursue environmentally responsible improvements.
How Do Manufacturers Qualify for ESP Certification?
Manufacturers are rating yearly on 18 different criteria. The categories include air quality, product resource management, process resource management, environmental stewardship, and community relations. To be certified, companies must attain 80 points out of a possible 105 points on these 18 assorted criteria’s.
When was this program introduced?
The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Green Home Building
